“Outside of the classroom, Templeton’s professional mentorship program has been a terrific help to me. This program has led to great internships and has connected me with outstanding Christian professionals in my field who I can look to for personal and professional wisdom.”
– Erik Hannemann, ’13

The Templeton faculty and staff are dedicated to the success of their students not only in their academic studies, but as whole persons. Class sizes at Eastern and Templeton are quite small (the student-faculty ratio is 11:1). This provides a platform for students to get to know their professors and seek their advice not only on academic and professional matters, but personal and spiritual matters as well.

Aside from the mentorship available directly from Templeton faculty and staff, the Templeton Honors College maintains a wide range of contacts in various professions who are available to meet with Templeton students regarding professional and vocational matters. These meetings are typically arranged at the request of the student and with the assistance of the dean.

There are also a wide variety of internships available for Templeton students. Here is a list of just a few of the organizations Templeton students have interned for in the past:

  • North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)

  • St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital

  • District Attorney’s Office of Philadelphia

  • American Bible Society

  • Breakthrough Collaborative Teaching Internship

  • Compass Ion Investors (Wealth management firm)

  • Devereux (Behavioral health non-profit)
